Pre-finished Projects
Pre-finished flooring is sanded, stained, and finished in the factory. Once installed in the home, pre-finished products are ready for foot traffic immediately. Pre-finished products are generally more expensive than unfinished because the sanding staining, and finishing is completed at the factory, not in the home. However, prefinished options are limited to colors and finishes that are provided by the manufacturer. We recommend buying prefinished products that have a thicker wear layer so the floors can be sanded and finished when it becomes necessary.
