“My wife and I selected Dramis Hardwood Floors to install and finish 3700 square feet of 3 1/4 inch wide white oak flooring in our home.

We had previous experience with having hardwood flooring installed in other houses years earlier so we were somewhat knowledgeable of what to expect. In addition, I am a retired engineer and did a lot of research on wider plank hardwood flooring installation since this was a much larger job than we had previously had done.

Dramis has been our best experience with hardwood flooring installation. The craftsmanship of his installers was excellent, and the workmen were always kind and courteous. Our house has a long continuous run along a walkway and the flooring on the opposite side in the kitchen area and breakfast area is common. The installers had the experience, knowledge, and skill to make the flooring match up across the whole area without using a border in the breakfast room door threshold. Using a border in a threshold so mismatched edges are not quite as obvious is done by unskilled installers. For those who do not understand what I'm talking about, the level of skill it takes to make sure all the edges line up perfectly across room breaks represents the highest level of wood flooring installation. Only the very best wood flooring installers are capable of doing it. The installers asked for permission and explained certain things they wanted to do to make for a better install, like undercutting along the base of a balcony railing instead of using additional pieces of molding to cover the edges of the wood flooring. That undercut came out looking great. The finishers did a sample stain area for us to look at and approve before staining a whole room or floor. The installers answered a lot of questions I had about stair treads and risers. The whole Dramis team has a wealth of knowledge and experience.

All wood flooring companies are not the same. Dramis is obviously in the top tier of craftsmanship, and a company, in this day and time, that shows that level of experience and skill deserves acknowledgment, one of the main reasons I am taking the time to write this detailed review.

We heard about Dramis from our sister-in-law. She suggested we check him out before making our decision. When my wife and I first met John Dramis in his office, he answered all of our questions and explained their installation process. He made us feel like he really wanted our business. My wife and I made our decision as soon as we left his office. We could tell he was the person we would trust to take on our largest wood flooring upgrade to date.

Our experience with John Dramis, his office staff, and his installation crew exceeded our expectations. Without hesitation, I highly recommend you meet with John Dramis before making a decision on your hardwood flooring installation. We are certainly glad we did.

“I wanted to take a moment to thank you for the lovely job that you did at my lake house. I know it required some more sanding that I had originally hoped for, but you were still able to leave some of the knots and imperfections, which to me are the great beauty of the wood. The stairs look wonderful, and I agree that it was in my best interest to place a slightly higher gloss on the finish so it would wear well in the future. I am sure you have heard many folks say this, but it almost hurts me to walk on them. They are just that beautiful!”
